Many websites in order to prevent "robot" auto registration, the majority of the means of verification code. But for owners who, recently a research team from Stanford University's not good news came: The researchers used tools made out of DeCaptcha improved OCR technology, including Google, Baidu, Visa, Blizzard Battle net, Wikipedia, eBay and CNN and some other sites, including 15 well-known tests and 13 of them more or less break the verification code.
The team used OCR technology firstly
One well-known network disk MegaUpload crack with a highest success rate up to 93%, Visa and Blizzard Blizzard's success rate was 66% and 70%, eBay, Slashdot and Wikipedia were 43%, 35% and 25%, CNN Baidu is relatively low with only 15% and 5%. Only two research teams can be completely resistant to optimize the use of OCR tools: common third-party verification code system reCaptcha with Google, only a success rate of 0 and OCR system completely unable to receive a responses.

Therefore, the increasing number of forums to join this type of authentication system code is also rare, and the best way to resist or problems of OCR output answers.

Why is it so hard to enter the CAPTCHAs
Get to know how the Methods Cheaters Use to Crack CAPTCHAs
Do you know why CAPTCHA codes are so hard to enter? Cheaters can use bots to enter sweepstakes for them or vote for their contest entries, exploiting code to enter more often than the rules allow. However by using on sweepstakes forms, will CAPTCHA codes prevent bots?
Anyways it is like a game of cat and mouse, cheaters are always trying to crack CAPTCHAs, and companies are trying to strengthen their security to make them harder to get around and at the mean time, regular people are feeling hard to enter the codes.
Use OCR to Avoid CAPTCHA
The way OCR, which stands for Optical Character Recognition, is for computers to identify text from images. If you want to scan a document into your computer and edit it like any of your electronic documents, you'll scan the image into the computer and then the related text will be generated from the OCR software. Cheaters can use OCR software to break the code with a perfect, clear text CAPTCHA.
It is the reason that so many CAPTCHA codes are blurry, have wavy lines behind them, turn the letters sideways, or otherwise make it hard to read the text.
When you are trying to scan a document, you'll notice that while many words scan through without problems, any smears or smudges on the paper, or anything else that makes the text a little unclear, there could be errors and confusing words generated from the OCR software. By this way the cheaters will not be able to break the code since the CAPTCHA codes are hard to read.
CAPTCHA Codes appearing in Other Websites
It is hard for computers to enter the CAPTCHAs automatically while it is easy for humans to solve it. However if you are unwittingly solving the CAPTCHAs it will not work.
By passing the code to other website, where people enter the code to get access to some other feature, cheaters and spammers could get around CAPTCHAs. It is working like when they are trying to get access to an (often pornographic) picture by solving a puzzle or typing a code.
So the CAPTCHAs expire very quickly because of the things above. If in every few seconds a new CAPTCHA needs to be entered, which could reduce the odds that cheaters can trick someone into typing the response very quick.
Get paid to Crack CAPTCHAs
There are some companies offering money to crack CAPTCHAs to those cheaters. They work in a similar method to the trick above, but they pass the CAPTCHA codes to people working in sweat shops in third-world countries to solve. Such kind of crack can be prevented by a fast-expiring CAPTCHA.
Poorly-Coded CAPTCHAs Exploited
It is possible to guess the desired result from the code or to have the same CAPTCHA accepted over and over again when some CAPTCHAs are not coded correctly. Fortunately, some free CAPTCHAs such as Google's Recaptcha can avoid the problem as this.
Extra words
It is considered to be illegal to circumvent CAPTCA because it violates the DMCA. As long as there's profit in circumventing CAPTCHAs, criminals will always look for new ways to crack them, while companies will try new methods to boost security.

Captcha resolving- How to fix Captchas II
Confused by squiggly lines
You can find that the numbers "6" and "8" are clearly different. However readers can be confused by squiggly lines behind captchas. The two numbers could confuse the reads by one of those squiggles. The captcha can also make a ‘c’look like an ‘o’, an ‘o’ look like an ‘a’ or other letters by the placement and font.
Upper or lowercase
Captchas could be case-sensitive sometimes though generally they do not care if the letters are upper or lowercase. You have to enter characters in upper and lowercase when the captcha is showing both upper and lowercase letters. You may ignore the case when you happen to see all the letters are shown in uppercase. Only in special you should type letters in uppercase once the entry is rejected.
The case is much sensitive
The captcha will give more confused letters if they are case-sensitive. You can find the letter ‘o’ or ‘c’ are showing the same whether they are of uppercase of lowercase.
What if the captcha just cannot see clearly
You may even find it is difficult or impossible to reduce the vision of the capthcas. So some captchas will appear as an audio version to get around the problem. You will feel it is much easier to hear the codes than to type them by the nice option.
Reloading code is a good way
You can try to reload the captcha when you can not sure if you can pass the current code. You can do it anytime as the system allows. To get an easier-to-read captcha you could reload the images by click the button again and again.

What to do if Captcha is not working?
In order to separate legitimate entries from those made by bots or scripts, webmaster are using Captcha to type funny looking letters or numbers on entry forms. The Captcha are now being harder and harder to read since the computers have become more adept at deciphering captchas. So sometimes you should have trouble entering a captcha properly, but don’t be frustrating as there are some tips you can follow.
Load captcha once or more times if you do not enter the letters successfully
Sometimes people need to fill out the entry form before the time elapse among several pages, for example they need open some sweepstakes sites at the same time and work on one after another.
When the lasting time passed the Captcha will expire at the same time. Then the captcha you are seeing will not be accepted and you have to reload the page to get a new one. And when you enter the captcha before the time passed the code will be accepted.
Number 1, Lamas, and Iguanas
Because of the font the captcha uses, a lower-case "l" as in "lama" can look exactly the same as an uppercase "I" as in Iguana or the number "1." The captcha could block your entry with the confusion between these three characters.
Letter O and number zero
The difference between an uppercase letter "O" as in "Ocean" and the numeral "0" or zero is also hard to identify.

CAPTCHA tests for what? How does it work?
In order to prevent robotic software programs from spamming our sites we should let CAPTCHA to test however it is easy for humans to pass. The hackers or spammers are using auto-filling software programs at any web page so we should discourage them with CAPTCHA.
CAPTCHA is important online
to deter hackers from abusing online services we use CAPTCHA to keep our site normal. We know that hackers and spammers are undertaking unethical online activities such as:
- Submitting hundreds of false responses robotically online.
- Try different passwords in order to open others’ account brute-fiercely.
- Register hundreds of free email accounts with auto software.
- Spamming blogs and forums with dozens of bogus comments and replies and search engine links.
- Collecting people’s email addresses from web pages and attacking them later.
- Lure people into downloading a Trojan payload by falsifying torrent seed counts and positive feedback.
90% of hacker attacks can be stopped by CAPTCHA which will block the robot software from submitting online request on the web.
What is CAPTCHA meaning?
CAPTCHA is meaning of "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart", which is an acronym from Carnegie Mellon University. The term of CAPTCHA has become the standard moniker for the simple human-or-robot tests now, however it is a rather obnoxious acronym.
How is a CAPTCHA Working?
Robot can hard to read the phrase that need to type when CAPTCHA is working. The CAPTCHA can be .gif pictures or .mp3 voice recordings generally. These pictures or recordings are usually unable to type by using robots so it is very hard for conventional software programs to understand.

The knowledge of CAPTCHA
Why do you have to type the frustrating letters?
When you are going to join a site or make comment in a blog, you are asked to enter some jumbled up letters to continue. It is so frustrating sometimes when you need to type 1 instead of L or I from J.
All of you should be there and peering at the screen and try to figure out whether it is the correct letter or not. And then you may wonder how damn the similar-looking letter could be taken out of the algorithm to keep from offset. Okay, what are those frustrating letters and who should us type them?
It is called CAPTCHA, and a human response test for people to register. There are a lot of spammers around the internet, so the CAPTCHA is used on websites. It can somehow prevent or decrease members from spamming the site by checking if the person registering or trying to comment is a real live human being or now. We can also find that our email is of the feature such as some form of spam blocker.
Spam is working as previous junk mail caused before. The junk mail not only keeps in your mailbox or tie to your doorknob if the spammer is in charge. You yard could be littered and your car could be buried also your roof can be covered as a result.
You will consider that it is worth in the long run when you know what CAPTCHA is exactly. If you have a blog and spamming comment fly to it every day you will not think it is frustrating to continually be asked to enter in tangled letters from an image. As your blog is getting popular you will find even more spamming comments generated a day. So it is worth to have CAPTCHA against the spammers.
Now that you know what CAPTCHA is, do not feel frustrating by typing the crazy letters from CAPTCHA the next time when you are going to register a site. Take care of the spammers for they are the main reason why we should use CAPTCHA and we can also not avoid from them when we want to be a new member of a site.
